Alfred Picon established Superior Architecture in 1980 as a family owned and operated business. In 1983, Alfred located Superior to its present facility. Alfred to this day is in charge and continues to make wonderful products as owner and President, along with his son and daughter.

The History of Superior Architecture Manufacturing, Inc.

In 1979, Alfred Picon quit his job as foreman at a metal manufacturing company to take a chance at achieving his version of The American Dream for his wife and children. In the year 1980, with the support of his family and $5,000 in his name, he took the chance to turn his dream into reality. He rented a small facility, purchased equipment, and given his first task of making curtain hooks. Alfred worked hard and diligently to make sure the products were up to his rigorous standards. When he delivered, the job rewarded him $900 for his hard work.

Proud of his success, he reinvested into his company so he could continue to grow the business. As the business grew, Alfred developed a great reputation by being an honorable, well-liked man who would always make good on his promises, and deliver with a smile. Another opportunity arose to display his skills, when a customer he developed a deep trust with gave him an opportunity to create display cases. Alfred took chance with the offer, and he worked day and night to create a sample according to their exact details. When he showed them the product, they approved of his work and given him the contract.

Alfred’s work ethic also permeates throughout the company. For many years, he was able to create a powerful workforce that is his team members, with a skill set to create display cases and custom products. As he delivered on his word, he never neglected to create bonds with his team members, customers, and suppliers, because he knows that a good business is only as good as the connections he creates.The Superior Architecture of today is the results of many years of success and failures, and the bonds of friendships and trust through the tenacity of a strong-willed person that is Alfred Picon.
